How do I get my partner onboard with a boudoir session?
The biggest issue here is that your partner is probably super nervous.
They probably have a ton of questions for you, and me, and about the process!
I often hear:
‘Does she know how to photograph men?’
‘What happens if I get an “aroused”?’
‘Well I have X boundaries, how does that work?’
The list goes on, you get it.
The best thing to do is to set up a phone call with me. Click here and you can set up a call a time that is convenient for you. Boudoir is extremely personal. Couple’s boudoir is even more personal. We are not just photographing you, but you and your partner, the connection the two of you share. All the little details of how you connect with each other. The intimacy between the two of you. There is a lot of initial fears, questions and eventually peace and excitement once we chat!
Nerves are normal. But I can promise you a few things:
1 Your nerves will go away once we chat, I promise!
2 You are in amazing hands. I have been doing this literally my entire life. I specialize in boudoir, fine art nudes and erotica full time and do nothing. else. I eat sleep breath boudoir photography, I’ve got you! I will be there to coach you both every step of the way from facial expression down to your toes! You and your partner will look and feel amazing and when you go home, be so much closer than you were before!
3 You will forget I’m there, I promise! Everyone is nervous about this, and all my clients tell me ‘we really did forget you were there, and I mean that as the highest compliment’ and it’s true! The two of you will be so focused on each other it will feel more like an intimate and flirty day with the person you love the most.

‘Does she know how to photograph men?’
Yes! I’ve wanted to be a boudoir photographer since I was five years old (seriously) and it has always been my vision to photograph all bodies, not a specific gender. While undoubtedly more women reach out for boudoir sessions (and I only have clients on my website, no models!) I absolutely photograph boudoir for men as well!
‘What happens if I get “aroused”?’
The natural reaction of your body upon seeing your sexy partner does not and will not offend me. Your partner will of course take it as a compliment and let’s be honest, the photographs will look great! So, don’t be nervous. I see it every day, it’s part of your body which is part of my art.
‘Well I have X boundaries, how does that work?’
I also have boundaries! We may even have the same ones!
During your boudoir consultation, I will go over what you can expect (and not expect) from me as your photographer. Maybe my boundaries will overlap with some of yours, but if you have any I don’t mention, please share! My biggest goal with couple’s boudoir is that the two of you walk away more connected than when you came in. Because communication between all parties in boudoir is so important, I very mindful of consent, and more importantly delivering exactly what you and your partner are looking for both in boudoir form and as an experience. I will make sure that you and your partner are a part of every interaction we have and that we are all on the same page so the two of you can have a safe and sexy time!
